
New Basic 1 to 5 kW Off Grid Inverters
The New Basic Series is a practical single-phase inverter platform for small and medium standalone power systems. It combines pure sine-wave AC output with battery charging and selectable utility-input ranges, enabling the system to supply conventional household loads while accepting the grid or a generator as an auxiliary source when required.
The series provides both PWM and MPPT versions at the same nominal power levels. PWM variants offer a straightforward architecture for cost-sensitive systems with suitably configured PV strings. MPPT variants provide a defined tracking window and improve PV operating flexibility, particularly where module voltage and changing irradiation conditions require active maximum-power-point control.
Battery-bank voltage rises with inverter capacity: 12 V for the 1 kW models, 24 V for the 3 kW models, and 48 V for the 5 kW models. This progression supports more appropriate current levels as system power increases. All six variants provide pure sine-wave output, automatic transfer between operating sources, overload-oriented surge capacity, and USB/RS232 communication.
The correct model should be selected by considering continuous demand, short-duration starting current, battery voltage, PV open-circuit voltage at the lowest expected site temperature, solar-charger architecture, and required charging current. PWM and MPPT variants must not be treated as interchangeable because their PV voltage limits and array-sizing logic are different.

Engineering and Selection Notes
- Match the battery bank exactly to the model voltage: 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V.
- For MPPT versions, design the operating string voltage inside the stated MPPT range and calculate cold-weather string open-circuit voltage below the model's maximum PV open-circuit limit.
- For PWM versions, PV-array voltage must be configured for the PWM charger and connected battery system; MPPT string-sizing logic must not be applied.
- Surge capacity is intended for short-duration starting demand and does not replace continuous-load sizing.
- Where motors, compressors, pumps, or refrigeration equipment are present, check both starting current and simultaneous-load behaviour before selecting inverter power.
