Oil Type Distribution Transformers

Oil type distribution transformers use transformer oil for insulation and cooling. The heat generated during operation is controlled by transformer oil, helping the transformer operate at normal temperature levels under suitable operating conditions.

These transformers can be supplied as hermetic type or conservator tank type designs. Hermetic oil type distribution transformers are filled with oil under vacuum and designed to prevent the cooling oil from coming into contact with the atmosphere. This structure helps reduce oil oxidation and can lower the need for periodic oil maintenance compared to conservator tank designs.

Hermetic type transformers also offer a more compact structure compared to conservator tank transformers, making them suitable for projects where installation space is limited.
