TommaTech Trio Hybrid S Series LV AIO CMS CONTENT PACK

The TommaTech Trio Hybrid S LV AIO Series is a modular three-phase hybrid energy storage platform developed for residential and light commercial applications requiring integrated solar generation, battery storage and backup capability.

Rather than treating the inverter and battery bank as completely separate installations, the AIO architecture combines the hybrid inverter with stackable low-voltage battery modules to create a compact energy storage system. The inverter family is offered in 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 kW nominal power ratings, while battery capacity can be expanded using 5.12 kWh modules.

The inverter incorporates PV input, battery charging and discharging, grid connection, backup load output and generator functionality. Two MPPT trackers manage the PV input, while CAN communication is used between the inverter and battery management system. The system supports operating modes including self-consumption, grid interaction, off-grid/backup operation and configurable charging priorities.

The low-voltage architecture uses a nominal 51.2 V battery module, with the official datasheet specifying a battery operating range of 43.2–57.6 V. Up to six battery modules can be paralleled without the additional accessory identified in the datasheet; the manufacturer states that up to 36 modules and approximately 184 kWh can be reached with an accessory. The exact accessory required for this expanded configuration should be confirmed by TommaTech before quotation.

The system is therefore best presented on an international B2B website as one configurable LV AIO product family, rather than five separate inverter products.

The battery datasheet uses the broader term Lithium-Ion, while the official user manual specifically describes the battery as lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4).

Technical Architecture

The LV AIO system uses a low-voltage parallel battery architecture. Each battery module operates at a nominal 51.2 V, while additional modules increase total available energy without converting the battery bank into a high-voltage series string.

The hybrid inverter interfaces with the PV array through two MPPT channels and manages energy flow between the solar array, battery system, grid, generator input and backup/load output. The inverter communicates with the battery BMS through CAN. The official manual also identifies separate grid, load, generator, parallel, meter and BMS interfaces.

This architecture is fundamentally different from the HV AIO series and is the principal reason the two ranges should remain separate CMS products.

How It Works

During solar production, the hybrid inverter converts PV power for the connected loads and can use surplus generation to charge the battery. Depending on the selected operating mode, stored battery energy can subsequently be used for self-consumption, backup loads or programmed time-of-use operation.

The inverter can also interact with the utility grid or a generator. Charging priorities and operating modes can be configured through the system interface, allowing solar, battery, grid and generator sources to be managed according to the project requirement.
